Window Film During Home Renovation

Doing a home renovation can be stressful experience. When I did mine earlier this year, I was lucky to have a building contractor who thought of everything. Naturally, I was always interested in any strategies he had that could save me money. That’s why when he floated the idea of installing window tint and film, it didn’t take much to get me on board.

I hadn’t given much thought to window tint and film before. It isn’t exactly high up in your mental image of your remodeled home. I have to say, though, I’m grateful my contractor sold me on this approach for my home renovation project. When faced with the prospect of upgrading my windows with insulating glass, the idea of cheaper window tint and film that was an easier install was a more attractive option. The ultimate goal was bringing my energy costs down and this was accomplished effectively. They reduce my reliance on air conditioning in hotter weather and also shields the interior of my homHome-and-Commercial-Window-Tinting-Filme from harmful UV rays.

A contractor offering a cheaper home insulation solutions and does the installation himself, lowering his clients’ cooling bills in the long run, is worth his weight in gold. My building contractor, as it happens, is one of a growing number offering window tint and film installation as part of their service. The industry is growing on the strength of government stimuli and incentives for energy efficient techniques in Eco-friendly home and commercial remodeling activities.

The global solar control window film market is expected to grow to almost $1 billion by 2024. Vacuum coated films are surging in popularity over traditional dyed and clear films. This new window insulation solution is said to block the sun’s UV rays more effectively, with metals in the film repelling more sunlight. Less penetrating sunlight means longer life for building interiors.  Also, for your entertaining areas, anti-glare film is great option.

There is a growing trend in the construction industry to bundle these benefits into the services contractors provide. This gives home owners and investors in commercial buildings peace of mind that they will benefit from energy savings over the long term. It also doesn’t hurt that window tint and film provide a cool and comfortable environment in which people can live and work.

Window tint and film are also invaluable to the driving experience. They can shield vehicle occupants from harmful UV rays and the sun’s glare. During the winter time, I’m sure you will agree that intensity of that glare is at least doubled! They also protect the vehicle interior from fading over time.

As window tint and film products continue their evolution, so too will their applications. Building contractors offering such products as part of their services will undoubtedly make themselves more marketable in an industry in which consumers are always on the lookout for added value.

My contractor took care of my window worries as part of his portfolio of services and that has made all the difference in my home.
