Dark Tint

Sometimes your Window Film has to be DARK

Window film is a great piece of style for your car, truck, or recreational vehicle.  It adds style and looks, while providing much more subtle benefits as well.  When thinking about window film, most can immediately gravitate toward limo tint or limo film.  Also known as blackout window film.  This film is classified as a 5% VLT (visual light transmission).  At a 5% VLT, the film is blocking 95% of light transmission.

Scorpion Window Film is now offering a zero % VLT.  The latest offering from Scorpion Window Film is Carbon Zero.  When you are looking for a dark window film, Carbon Zero is the one for you.

Window Film, like all products, comes in many forms of quality.  Many times it can be classified as a good, better, best!   Scorpion Window Film Carbon Zero offers a lifetime warranty.

How Dark Do You Need?

Dark is good but sometimes, you need great!  A complete blackout window film is needed sometimes.  Scenarios arise when you want a completely zero VLT window film.   Some lighter VLT films are hard to even notice that it is there. Once it has a VLT of 75% or higher, you probably won’t notice it.  As the VLT number gets lower, it becomes much more noticeable.  Here at Scorpion Window Film, we offer a full line ranging from 5%-70%.  Our most popular lines tend to be in the 15-20% range.  These films are legal in many states on some parts of the vehicles and most recreational vehicles such as RVs and Camper trailers.  We encourage you to check with local and state laws.  Many state view window films are different.  And you can be assured that the darker the window film, the more noticeable it will be.   Dark window film stands out because it adds style and privacy and humans tend to be curious about what they can’t see.  Think about the limousine cruising through town and we naturally wonder who could be in there?  Is it your favorite sports hero?  Maybe it is a world known celebrity.  But, their identity remains anonymous because of dark window film.

Really dark window film can be a visual disruption.  The reason why tint is illegal on windshields in all states except for “eyebrow” is how much it can affect optical clarity.  Imagine driving on a dark, moonless night with sunglasses on.  If you have ever done this before this paints a really good picture of what it is like driving when you have a dark window film on your windshield.

Now that you understand the importance of keeping minimal window film on your windshield, that doesn’t mean you can’t go dark on your side windows or on the windows of an RV.  Again, please refer to local and state laws when it comes to window tint!
