A Scorpion Window Film Eye Brow

Does the sunlight on your morning commute change with the seasons?  Mine does, and in the later part of the Fall and early part of the Winter season, the morning glare is brutal on commute to the office!  Here in Indiana where we have daylight saving time, there are variations to the morning sunlight based on the time, even though I am looking at around 7:45 AM.

Solution

An eye brow!   No, I am not suggesting you grow your eyebrows down and brushing  them over your eyes…..that would make driving difficult.   I am suggesting a window film eye brow.

In the Window Film Industry, we refer to an eyebrow as the strip of window film across the top of the windshield.

Some might think that tinting your entire windshield is the simplest solution.  IT IS NOT!

There are a couple reasons the full windshield tint is not.

It is illegal in all 50 states unless prescribed by a doctor. Typically, an eye doctor or dermatologist would be the type of doctors that would prescribe this.

You don’t want dark wind film on your windshield at night.   Don’t believe me, put on a pair of sunglasses and go for a drive in the country when it is dark outside and you will understand what I mean.

Most vehicles will have a mark on the windshield about 5 or 6 inches down from the top.  This is the AS1 Line or AS-1 line.   This is the legal mark for an eye brow.  In most cases, if you fold your visor down until it meets the glass, you will see where the line is.

If you have questions about this line, you can speak to any automotive glass installer or window film installers.  You can find a window film installer by clicking HERE.

Your local window film installer will be able to educate you on the pros and cons of window film on the windshield.  They should also advise you about the dangers of film on the windshield.
