Factory Match

You ever look at the back windows in your new SUV or Mini-Van?  Ever notice a difference in the shade of the front and back windows?   The rear or second row windows come with a 15% VLT ( Visible Light Transmission).  Once a vehicle is purchased, many chose to have a factory match window tint installed on their front windows to gain the advantage of UV and heat rejection.

The idea with a factory match tint installation on the front windows is to have them look like the same VLT as the rear windows.  In most models of new vehicles, 15% will be the closest.  Some models may be a touch lighter and need a 20%.  Keep in mind that the lower the VLY number, the darker the film.  Our film VLT’s range from a 0% to a 70%, extremely dark to hardly visible.  Remember, just because a film is not extremely dark, that doesn’t mean it isn’t offering many of the same benefits of a dark film.

Scorpion Window Film will offer nearly 99.9% UVA and UVB rejection and will offer considerable more heat rejection than the factory installed film.

The name of the game for us is safety, comfort and style.

Safety

Safety come in numerous way from window film.  Better driving conditions because of less glare.  Better glass stability in the event of a collision.

Comfort

Comfort is provided by window film through the heat it rejects.  This allows the passengers to enjoy more steady temperatures within the vehicle and less pull on the air conditioning unit on the car.

Style

Style… well that is easy.  Tinted window look good!  I don’t feel that anything more needs said about this!  There is a reason that window film is one the top aftermarket accessories in the United States.

Back to the basics!

I want you to challenger your professional window film installer to educate you.  This is their specialty, the profession, and their livelihood.  They should be able to answer you questions in detail and help you make the choice that is best for you and not their bottom line.  If they are not able to teach you about film or don’t seem to have time for your questions, I would consider going somewhere else for your tint.

If you would like to find a Scorpion Window Film installer near you, simply call (800) 483-9087 and our team will help you begin the process.
