Wrapping Up a “Strange” Year!

If you are like us here at Scorpion, you might struggle to summarize what it was like to experience 2020.  I can remember being in South Carolina on March 5th and 6th.   News was beginning to trickle out that this may be a much larger problem than initially expected.  

I received a phone call from my mother, encouraging me to get home ASAP to be with my wife and daughters.  I dismissed this fear.  No way, we are the United States, we will not let something like this happen.  Well, that was then and this is now.  

I got home to the family and things seemed reasonably normal here in Indiana.  Then things changed……Sunday evening the school system that my wife works at calls to inform us that a student had tested positive for COVID and the school would be closing for 2 weeks. ( They were the first school system in the state to close and did not return for that school year.)

In the time since that Sunday evening phone call, it is amazing how our lives have changed.  Distant learning, remote learning, virtual teaching, working from home, social distance, and the terms and phrases go on and on.  

Little did we know that as the end of 2020 approaches, we would still be knee deep in this COVID mess.  

It is also funny to think that the trip I was on to South Carolina for work would be the last business trip I would take in the year 2020. For a guy that is used to traveling and doing trade shows for Scorpion, it is an odd feeling and position to be in.   

Business has been Good

Leadership at Scorpion had foresight and intuition to order advancements for raw materials to stockpile popular lines of window film and VLT’s.  While other film suppliers and manufacturers struggled with supplies and stock, Scorpion Window Film reaped benefits of forethought and strategic planning allowing us to be in a solid position to supply the desired lines of film.  

Looking back at the past 9 months and how things have occurred and continue to change sometimes on a daily basis, I find it 1000000000% fascinating how our lives have changed.  Somethings may never be the same and others might find the way back to resembling normal….hopefully sometime very soon!  

Just remember, things change and we adapt, but we love our vehicles and I am guessing that we will continue to add accessories to them.  Window film, truck bed liners, and ceramic coatings!  I have blogged about our love of cars, trucks, and vehicles for years.  Scorpion is here to keep you supplied with materials to supply to your customers.
