Why Window Tint

How Window Tinting Helps

  1. Reduce and eliminates glare – window tint will help reduce and/or eliminates the sun’s glare, much like the sunglasses you wear. Without the tinting, the glare of the sun is blinding and can make driving hazardous during certain hours of the day.
  2. Protects Interior – The dash and upholstery of a vehicle takes a beating in the sunshine.  Window film can block up to 99% percent of UV rays. This helps to maintain the color and integrity of your vehicle’s dash, seats, and carpets.
  3. Blocks Out Excessive Heat – film can provide reduced heat inside a vehicle.   This helps your vehicle stay cooler.
  4. Saves Energy – This saves you on fuel which is good news for your wallet and with fuel cost what they are these days…..Yes Please!
  5. Lowers Health Risks – The sun’s UV rays can cause some health risks to your skin and eyes, car window tint block those damaging rays.
  6. Appearance Enhancer – Scorpion Window Film offers a generous variety of shades that will enhance your vehicles appearance and stand out.
  7. Provides Privacy – car window tint provides privacy to you and your passengers preventing your road neighbors or nosy snoopers from spying on you. Also, will discourage would-be thieves.
  8. Provides Security and Safety – car window tint bonds to the glass, which helps keep the glass in one piece if the window breaks. This prevents small shards of glass exploding around you in case,     of an accident. It may also prevent thieves from breaking into your vehicle as they would have to struggle with a sheet of bonded glass versus an open window.

Window Tinting What Can You Do?

Every state has a law about what can be put on car windows and how dark the tint can be. These laws vary state to state, for example in some states it is 70% such as in Michigan, Alaska, and Vermont while it is only 20% in New Mexico. Your local installer will be familiar with state laws.

Car window tint in your vehicle reduces the visible light transference (VLT) and is graded on the percentage of light that transfer through it. Darker tints have lower VLT.

Tint Vehicles to Protect Against Harmful UV Rays

Your car doesn’t just get you from place to place, but often that’s all we wind up seeing it as. Those who lead busy lifestyles or who constantly feel like they can’t make ends meet may wind up neglecting their car or seeing it as a nuisance that they can’t make the time or money for. However, taking care of your car now means more money later. Whether you own or lease, you’re not likely to keep your car forever. Even if it’s a true beater that you’re planning to scratch completely when you’re done, this summer calls for you to keep UV rays from making the inside of your car feel like an oven. Keep them out of your vehicle (and preferably off your skin too, of course.)
