Window Film, Yes Please!

When you choose to have window film professionally installed on your ride, you are making a statement.  You care about your ride, your family, and your style.  For the cost, I believe that window tint is one of the most cost effective ways to make a dramatic change to the look of your ride.

Dark or tinted windows are a sharp and contrasting look.  They offer a fresh look to the same car.  Other upgrades can cost well into the thousands of dollars and will not provide the same dramatic effect as window film.  For the cost, it packs a heavy bang for your buck.

If you don’t believe me, find someone that has window film and get in their car…..better yet, go for a ride with them on a sunny day ( keep proper social distance to ensure safety).

You might wonder how window tint does these things.  The construction of film and heat rejection properties are how it works to control temperature and comfort inside the vehicle.  As the film rejects the harmful UV rays from the sun, it maintains a consistent temperature for longer periods of time while decreasing work-load on the air conditioning unit.

Privacy

Privacy comes in many forms and some people are willing and able to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for privacy.  This privacy is a valuable commodity that some people will chase for their lifetime.  For those of us that live in the real world, I have a better solution for you…..automotive window film!

Dark window film allows a certain level of privacy that typically glass does not.  Keep in mind, every state in the US has its own tint laws and you should be aware of those laws and the penalties and fines that come with breaking them.  Any professional window film installer should know these laws and advise you accordingly.  With that, there are some acceptable exceptions.

Doctors such as dermatologists can write prescriptions that will allow a darker than advised window film.  You might also find an eye doctor that will suggest a certain level of window film that increases your eye health.   I always encourage caution when considering window film on your windshield.

Security

Window film is attached to glass with adhesive.  This adhesive acts as a glue.  Upon shattering, glass flies and splinters into thousands of pieces.  If you have window film installed, the chances of thousands of pieces flying at you are greatly reduced.  You will be increasing the chances of you and your family safely walking away from an accident…..that all I have to say about that!
